Knight And Day Trailer Is Here
Tom Cruise. Cameron Diaz. Comedy action?

22 December 2009  |  Written by James White  |  Source: E! Online

Coming off as a cross between a Mission: Impossible movie and a high concept rom com, the first trailer for Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz' big cinematic reunion, Knight And Day, has arrived on the web.

Directed by 3:10 To Yuma/Walk The Line's James Mangold, the film finds former Vanilla Sky co-stars Cruise and Diaz in what the official synopsis suggests is a glamorous and sometimes deadly adventure where nothing and no one – even themselves – are what they seem. Amid shifting alliances and unexpected betrayals, they race across the globe, with their survival ultimately hinging on the battle of truth vs. trust.”

On screen, that boils down to the pair meeting when Cruise takes out a plane-load of bad guys and keeps intruding on Diaz's live, to the somewhat shocked reaction of those around her, like pal Marc Blucas.

Not everything about the promo works, but Cruise is back to his twinkly, enthusiastic best, and there's support from the likes of Peter Sarsgaard and Maggie Grace.

Take a glance at the trailer and tell us if you think it looks worth a watch. Oh, and while you're here, take a look at the film's first poster too.

Looks fun, count me in
It looks like a fun enough movie and it's great to see Tom doing another light role. More

Stop The Hating ...
I'm sure this won't rank as 1 of Cruise's best films but it looks pretty solid and Cruise is - deservedly - one of the best actors out there. It's become cool to dislike him lately and yes I'll admit it hardly looks original but I'd rather this than Crank 3, Transporter 4 or any other lame action movie due on the horizon. More

I actually like the look of this
I am not a big fan of Tom Cruise (and no it has nothing to do with his off screen behaviour) but I admit he can turn in great performances and this looks like it will be one of them. More

RE: Knight and Day Trailer
This looks like it might be fun - Cruise acting like a demented nutjob is pretty funny if they get the tone right. More

looks pretty good. Although it does seem that Cruises character was supposed to be a little more unhinged originally, just from looking at the trailer it seems like the character was supposed to be more Deadpool mental, than Tom Cruise mental, but maybe thats just the advert. Either way i'll go see it, looks funny. I really hope the "two guns thing" and "plane crashed are soooo 2009" thing is some one's misunderstood attempt at sarcasm, otherwise it just goes to further su More

Looks Hilarious......
A little bit like Mr and Mrs Smith, Cruise seems to have enjoyed his turn in Tropic Thunder and carried on with the funnies, at least he aint doing that intense ACTOR thing (that he always does) Diaz is always great at kooky stuff, her role in the Charlies Angels movies is proof of that. I'm looking forward to this one. More

cool
looks really good from what i saw on youtube, cruise can be really funny. i think this was a good move for him, doing something that gets people back on his side the dialogue sounds great and he has got great delivery. the trailer could have worked a little better it plays more like a scene, but it sums up the balls out, tongue in cheek humour and action that they seem to be embracing. im really starting to like cameron diaz again 'the box' and now this, fantastic. before 'the box' in her shoes More
