Laurence Fishburne Battling Predators
He's joined the cast

18 December 2009  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Shock 'Till You Drop

Hope his kung fu is up to scratch -  Laurence Fishburne has joined the cast of Nimrod Antal's Predators.

After visiting the set of the new, Robert Rodriguez-produced take on the be-dreadlocked alien hunters, the lads at Shock 'Till You Drop have learned that Morpheus himself is joining the cast to play a tough guy named Roland.

It's perhaps less of a shock given that Fishburne and Antal just worked together on Armored, and that Larry is the sort of bloke you'd want around if you were fighting the warrior race.

He'll star alongside the likes of Adrien Brody, Topher Grace, Danny Trejo, Alice Braga and The Shield's Walton Goggins.

We love the little plot description at the end of the story: "They play a disparate group of people who land on the Predator home planet only to discover 'unspeakable horrors.'" And here we were thinking that the aliens' home contained flowery meadows and rainbow skies, and rivers made of chocolate, where children dance and laugh and play with gumdrop smiles…

Apocalypse Predator
The "unspeakable horrors" they find are that Colonel Kurtz (Marlon Brando) is still alive and has gone rogue on the Predators home planet. He hunts them with helicopters as he blasts out Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries." Either that or the "unspeakable horrors" are that the Predator planet is identical to Pandora in Avatar and the Predators are really blue all over. More
