Exclusive: New Iron Man 2 Poster
See the international teaser right here!

03 December 2009  |  Written by Helen O'Hara

We saw the first teaser poster for Iron Man 2 last week, but here's the new international teaser poster for the film - and darn it if Tony Stark isn't looking grumpier by the minute.

Yes, by the looks of this poster things are going to get a lot tougher for one-time playboy Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr., as if you didn't know) this time around. He's got the government trying to co-opt his invention, a powerful competitor after his business in the form of Sam Rockwell's Justin Hammer, a new enemy in Mickey Rourke's Whiplash and a new frenemy when Don Cheadle's Colonel James 'Rhodey' Rhodes dons the War Machine armour for himself. Oh, and there's Scarlett Johnasson's Natasha Romanov in there as well, complicating everything further (we're guessing), Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury hovering and Gwyneth Paltrow's Pepper Potts providing romantic entanglement.

Iron Man 2 is out next May 7 in the USA, and (last we heard) on April 30 here in the UK. Let us know what you think of this latest poster below.

Guys, this poster SUCKS. You should see the US poster instead - it's got Iron Man and War Machine standing back to back and WM's shoulder mounted mini Gatling gun is present and correct. Awesome. The above poster is pants! More

I usually prefer the international posters, but I liked the U.S. version better this time. RDJ looks like he has no neck in this one. :-\ More

As a teaser poster I like it. Not giving too much away, which is a good thing! Hope all is well. : ) More

RE:
Both posters, and the photos we've seen, could be from the first film. Let's see something new and exciting, shall we? (the back of War Machine doesn't count) More

This poster made my day too. Anytime I can see Robert as the charismatic Tony Stark works for me!!!! Wonderful poster! More

Guess they wanted to remind everyone that, yes, Downey is in this film. Not bad, but there doesn't seem to be any artisitic inspiration for Iron Man posters. I mean, Batman standing in front of a burning building had some kind of narrative, thematic suggestion to it. More
