I can't believe how cynical a lot of people are being in regards to Tim Burton's upcoming film. I for one can't wait to see his own take on the classic Alice in Wonderland story. I'm doubtful that Johnny Depp can outdo Martin Short's sadly overlooked spot-on Mad Hatter in the hit and miss 1999 TV movie and that the film can be any better than the 1951 Disney Alice in Wonderland, which I think is wrongly underrated and is one of the studio's funniest and best achievements. I want to be excited by this. I love Johnny Depp and Tim Burton both, but this has every sign of being Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 2 (which, yes, is a bad thing).

I've grown up with all Johnny's films and I'm a massive fan of Burton in Original Mode but his Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is one of the worst things I've ever seen, especially for a big fan of the original movie.
