New Percy Jackson Posters Online

Hmm, teenage star. Dark coloured poster. Fantasy-powers-in-real-world-setting. Lightning crackling around our hero. All-star supporting cast. The new posters for Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief sure does remind us of something; we just can't think what it is. Check out the full range of character banners over here.

The film tells the story of a teenager who discovers that the Greek Gods are alive and well and living on top of the Empire State Building, and that he himself, humble Percy Jackson (Logan Lerman) is a demi-God. Cue a quest across the United States to find out who has stolen Zeus' (Sean Bean) lightning bolt before Percy himself gets framed for the crime.

The character banners show Percy himself, his friend Annabeth "daughter of Athena" Chase (Alexandra Daddario) and Grover "I'm a satyr really" Underwood (Brandon T. Jackson). And there's an Italian poster in there alongside the clearly American main image (who else knows what "Presidents' Day is?), so now we know how to say Olympus in Italian - result!

Percy Jackson and the Incredibly Long Title: The Lightning Thief comes out here on February 12, 2010.

Your Comments
Why they can't keep titles simple is beyond me. If they really have to, they could tag "Percy Jackson" onto the beginning of my suggestion, but what's wrong with just calling it "The Lightning Thief"? See also: "Cirque du Freak" ... Read More
