Tooth Fairy Trailer Online

A cast that includes Dwayne Johnson, Billy Crystal, Julie Andrews and Ashley Judd can't make for anything other than an intriguing prospect, right? See if you still think that having watched the trailer for Michael Lembeck's Tooth Fairy.

As you'll gather, this is a high concept (think "Arnie pregnant!") family comedy in which The Dwayne plays a cynical hockey player who gets co-opted into a stint as a tooth fairy. With hilarious consequences. Because, like, Dwayne is big and hard, and he has to be a little delicate tooth fairy. We wish he'd go back to smashing things up with a plank of wood. What happened to Action Dwayne? Is he coming back?

There are many extraordinary things about this clip, not least of which is the sight of The ex-Rock sharing a scene with Stephen Merchant. But what surprised us most was that we did actually laugh at the bit with the amnesia spray. It's so good to see Billy Crystal again. Even in this.

We raised some other smiles too, to be honest, so just maybe there's hope here. Some Christmas, take-the-kids goodwill would have seemed like it would go in Tooth Fairy's favour. But it's out next May. Oh.

I happen to like the Arnies and Stallones of the world... they gave us some great brain-chew and I had hoped Mr Johnson was going to give it back to us. R.I.P dumb action flicks led by men with all muscle and low acting capabilities. ... Read More
