Sleeper Spy Set For Screen
Assassination thriller script sells

25 September 2009  |  Written by Helen O'Hara  |  Source: Variety

It's a natural progression from teen fight movie Never Back Down to asssasination thriller, apparently, with the news that director Jeff Wadlow has signed on to Sleeper Spy, a new thriller for CBS Films.

All we know about the film is that it centres on an assassination attempt on a political figure. We're going to go ahead and wildly speculate that it's more Shooter and less Day of the Jackal though, but what we're really secretly hoping is that it's a sequel to Never Back Down and the whole assassination attempt isn't through bombing or sharp-shooting but through the medium of mixed martial arts fighting.

Anthony Jaswinski, who wrote the upcoming Vanishing on 7th Street (set to star Hayden Christensen, Thandie Newton and John Leguizamo), wrote the script.
