New Volturi Posters Online Get your New Moon fix over here Source: Movieweb
Depressed at the prospect of being back in work after the Bank Holiday? Don't be! Right over here are some new photos of vampires head honchos the Volturi from The Twilight Saga: New Moon, including Michael Sheen's Aro and Dakota Fanning's Jane, and they're fang-tastic!*
Also in the gallery are Jamie Campbell-Bower's Caius and Cameron Bright's Alex. Campbell-Bower recently told us at Movie-Con that Caius, "has no special powers, unlike the rest of the Volturi, and he has long white hair and he likes to eat humans." Still, could be worse: he hasn't quite ended up with a Lucius Malfoy wig.
The Volturi, for those of you who haven't succumbed and just read the series, are the monarchy and government of the vampire world, executing swift punishment of any vampire who threatens to reveal their existence to the world (actually, just executing any vampire who threatens to reveal that vampires exist). They are very old, very powerful, and very red-eyed because they feed on the blood of tourists, unlike our animals-only 'vegetarian' vampire heroes.
Some more stills from New Moon have also gone online over at Yahoo, including one of Jackson Rathbone's Jasper buggin' out in an extremely bug-eyed manner (fans of the book will know that Kristen Stewart's Bella is in some danger from him at that point) and more of the Volturi in action.**
*Ed: You're fired.
**Ha! Look at that; we got through an entire Twilight story without mentioning Edward (eeeeeeeeeeeiiiiiii!) or Jacob (squeeeeeeeeeeeeee!).
Dacota Fanning as Jane looks amazing - just like I imagined her! Michael Sheen as Aro is also quite cool, just like the guy with the long black hair and black cloak...is that marcus?
The other Volturi are a bit dissapointing, especially Caius-he makes a funny impression with this hair style..But still, most pictures are GREAT!!!!! ... Read More

I'm putting it out there. I haven't seen Twilight and probably never will see it or it's sequels, but I have this increasing feeling that the highest grossing film in the US this Christmas ISN'T going to be Avatar, but the Twilight sequel. Worldwide, I'm sure Avatar will come out on top but in America the level of anticipation for New Moon or whatever it is, has been getting louder and louder for nearly a year now. Can you imagine how upset the Cameron-loving internet movie nerds are going to... Read More
Actually, come to think of it, the acting in the first film was pretty nifty and we know that Weiz has made a good movie or two in the past and seems like a lovely chap... That 'boring' comment has got me feeling pretty optimistic now! ... Read More
The problem is the first film was good because it was so simple, but the next ones get infinitely more complicated and thus so easy to get wrong. By the looks of it, Fanning is not scary enough (the character is supposd to be a bit more cherub-y and young looking- and that is what makes her terrifying) and not psychotic enough in the way she appears. Sheen looks more like he just needs to get laid and the first pic looks like panto! Mr Weiz pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease don't let this be a luaghi... Read More
They look fine. From what I can gather from the first film the world of Twilight wouldn't lend itself to some outside the box revolutionary design work. But that's kind of the problem. The Twilight world just seems as basic as you can get in terms of design, plot, character and relationships without even attempting a new take or a single original idea. Not that I thought Twilight was atrocious but it was just dull and considering it was 2 hours long it didn't explore the characters or relations... Read More
