Exclusive: New Whiteout Stills
Kate Beckinsale heads to Antarctica

26 August 2009  |  Written by Helen O'Hara

It's Wednesday, the week is only half over, so here to get you through that last hump are pictures of the very lovely Kate Beckinsale in Whiteout, the Antarctica-set murder mystery. And just to warn you before we even start, there aren't any of the shower shots you've been hearing about. Sorry.

The plot has Beckinsale playing U.S. Marshal Carrie Stetko, who tracks a killer to Antarctica and finds the pressure on to find the murderer before the sun sets at the South Pole for six months and the station is effectively isolated from the world, with only blooming marching penguins for company.

The film also stars Gabriel Macht, Alex O'Loughlin and Tom Skerritt, and is directed by Dominic Sena. Whiteout is out on September 11, and remember to wrap up warm when you go see it in case you get vicariously cold just watching it. Heck, even these pictures gave us the shivers.

I was really excited about seeing this (as I love the graphic novel!) but I must admit, the trailer looks stupid.... Still, I guess it could be worse. The trailer could be as bad as the Avatar one! Oh snap! Kv More
