Patton Oswalt Goes To Caprica

Yes, it's a TV story, but we thought you might be interested to know that Patton Oswalt has signed up for a recurring role on Battlestar Galactica spin-off / prequel Caprica, for the SyFy* Channel.

Oswalt, lately the voice of Remy in Ratatouille and host of the Disney panels at Comic-Con, joins the show as a comedy talkshow host on Caprica - a role for which the sometime-stand-up is well suited. Lead characters Daniel Graystone (Eric Stoltz) and Amanda Graystone (Paula Malcomson) will appear on the talkshow at some point in the show.

The show's currently shooting in Vancouver, and watch this space for more on that as it approaches release.

Excellent, he was always funny in King Of Queens as the sci-fi loving geek so this should be a good role for him More

I'm going to assume...
...the asterisk was to point out that SyFy is the stupid new name for the Sci-Fi channel in the US. Still haven't watched Battlestar Galactica but Patton Oswalt seems to increasingly be one of those 'where do I know him from' actors. Thank goodness for the IMDB. More
