Brand New Iron Man 2 Shots
See Black Widow and leather clad Stark

22 July 2009  |  Written by Emily Phillips  |  Source: USA Today

Wearing the customised leather of a man so rich, he could put his stamp on the cow before it has even left the womb, Tony Stark is back in this brand new Iron Man 2 still, and it looks like he might be ready to tear the place up even more than before.

The shot, which shows Stark - played by Robert Downey Jr. for those who have been encased in metal suits for the last few years - doing his best intense face, having got himself into a bit of a scrape, judging by the annihilated, flaming race track left behind him.

Another set of film stills give us a first look at Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff (or the Black Widow as she is fondly known) doing a little bit of reconnaissance work in what looks to be Stark's office.

Iron Man 2 reunites RDJ and Gwyneth Paltrow, who returns as Pepper Potts, as well as introducing the new Col. James 'Rhodey' Rhodes - Mr Don Cheadle. As well as Johansson, other new co-stars for this instalment include Mickey Rourke as metal-clad Russian villain Ivan Vanko (a.k.a. Whiplash), Moon man Sam Rockwell as Justin 'Not-To-Be-Confused-With-MC' Hammer and Kate Mara of Shooter 'fame' as Bethany Cabe.

Iron Man 2, once again directed by Jon Favreau, is due in cinemas May 7 2010.

Lovin' it!
Looking good in my opinion and not showing too much. I hope Comic Con does the same as well. Drip feeding the imagination. : ) More

Looking good
Good to see Scarlett as the Black Widow although i'm really eager to see her in her proper Black Widow outfit, especially after Mr Downey Jr's comments about her being in "insane shape for the role". And if she's in this, she'll probably be in the Avengers film too, which is good news for me as i'm a big fan of that character - she's kind of like a Russian equivalent of Jennifer Garner's character in Alias. Who knows, we might even get a BW spin-off movie, or am i just getting greedy More

Face like a smacked arse
Looks like Whiplash slapped him. Although it looks like that image goes with the Whiplash image. And Johansson is on sexy form. More

I like it
This is the best "What the hell am I doing here?" faces that I've ever seen!!! I know this next installment is gonna be a smash, especially if Favreau is at the helm again. More

I can see it now...
Downey decides to become a racer (or start a team what's he holding? Defribulators?) and gives up being Iron Man (properbly after screwing Rourke over as IM, whcih leads to him giving up IM), Rourke goes to the race to get revenge, Downey makes the MK4 Suit (Right? from the pic the other day I swear someone mentioned it) and fights back. Oh and for the last time, IT'S NOT MONACO, that's got to be an american circuit More

I have complete faith in marvel. They know the characters, they know the fans and they have a world class cast to boot. I cant see this film being anything but a step up from the first which will make it freakin' awesome! More
