First Look At Scarlett's Black Widow
Iron Man 2 shot reveals new look

16 July 2009  |  Written by Helen O'Hara  |  Source: EW.com

Well here's an exciting development: Entertainment Weekly has unveiled its new cover, with the first glimpse of Scarlett Johansson as Iron Man 2's Black Widow - and they've got a shot of her in action inside.

Mrs Reynolds is of course best known as a platinum blonde, but here she has - gasp! - red hair. That's assuming that any of you gentlemen noticed her hair colour while you were assessing the fit of her leather catsuit, of course.

The film's out on May 7, 2010, and there'll be lots more coverage of it in future issues of Empire. In the meantime, check out EW here.

Looks Great!!!
Looks like they have nailed the look! I was a little worried that it might've gone the way of Halle Berry's "Catwoman". In my opinion it looks very authentic to the graphic novels, which is great. I'm really looking forward to seeing just a smidgen (not too much now!) of footage, with comic-con around the corner that may come sooner that we think. Hooray!!! More

RE: Nice, but
It's a pity Emily couldn't fit it in between other projects she would have been an excellent widow. Scarlett is pretty but she's hardly Natasha More

Nice, but
She looks mighty purdy, but I agree that her hair looks too long and stylised to be practical, albeit we're talking about a comic book character here. She's supposed to be a spy and martial artist, not a Loreal cover girl. More

SCAR JO????
She'll do.....as long as she can crack the heavy Russian accent........liking those metal braclet wrist fittings which seem to have been taken straight from the comic book . The first Iron Man film was near perfect - and if this one comes any where near or (heaven forbid) surpasses it - I'll be well impressed.... More

Wooohoo
Yes, yes a thousand times yes! she looks like she has strolled out from the pages of the comics! thank fuck for Marvel making their own movies! Im so hoping this film takes it to the next level cos if it does it will be the best comic book movie ever! More

RE: She's ok...
L: Snake-Eyes ...I reckon Ms. Blunt's look would have suited Ms. Romanoff a whole lot better. But then this is merely a first pic. es! Agreed, Snake-Eyes. In fact, Emily Blunt was the first person to spring to mind when they announced the inclusion of Widow in Iron Man. Although really, how practical is that long cumbersome hair for a spy? I thought her bob of the Ultimates made much more sense. Scarlett just doesn't look like a spy, whatever wig they stick on her. More

Re: Triumph or flop?
Fear not, Blink, from what I gather they're going down the 'Batman Begins' route with the villains here by having one act as an underling to a more mysterious puppet master behind the scenes (like Cillian Murphy's Scarecrow to Liam Neeson's Ra's Al Ghul). More

Triumph or flop?
Agreed with the scarlett part deffo! but bringing in two villians again? could we see a similar problem to that of spiderman 3 (minus a villan). I do think tho tht jon favreau will be aware of the problem of multiple villans and make it wrk...fingers crossed More
