Resident Evil 4 Due In 2010 It's the franchise that can't be killed Source: Shock Till You Drop
Those of you who sat through Resident Evil: Extinction may remember that the end saw (SPOILER!) a bunch of clones of Milla Jovovich's Alice ready to open whole vats of whoop-ass on Umbrella Corporation headquarters in Tokyo. So it should come as no surprise to learn that a Resident Evil 4 is in development, and due for release on September 17, 2010 according to Shock Till You Drop.
Yes, there's more. Most normal franchises, inventing a virus that could dry up lakes, would have had the decency to throw their hands up and retire in embarrassment, but not this one.
There's no word yet on whether Milla Jovovich will return, although we'd be amazed if she doesn't (hey! She's stuck with it this far). Paul WS Anderson talked about writing a fourth instalment last year although it remains to be seen whether he'll direct. But with Oded Fehr's Carlos Olivera killed off last time, is there any reason to sit through this one?
well I have thoroughly enjoyed watching each of the RE films, and the Degeneration anime movie on Blue Ray

Such an easy franchise to get right that i still lay awake at night wondering how they got it so wrong.
ell, even Capcom can't seem to get it right. Did you see Resident Evil: Degeneration? What a pile of wank.
Also, I didn't mind the first film at all. It was a little too scattershot and not a film I would call "good" but I found it to be thoroughly entertaining for its runtime and it had a strong ending. Though the series has become progress... Read More

Drop the metal soundtrack, bullshit slow-mo action shots and focus solely on the scares and this could be interesting. Remember, Resi 4 completely saved a failing franchise from familiarity, hopefully number 4 could do the same here...

depends on how they make it; if they start a kinda redraft of the series maybe like in prince of persia 1 then in 2 its alot darker; if they did that it could potentially work and besides Wesker was in the last so as long as they use the character well then this one should be fun
maybe instead of them making a epic popcorn movie (which they've been trying to do since the second film) they could try to actually make something with mystery and with more class but to do this they'd need a new dire... Read More

y like the first one and could happily sit through it, and the ending was good,r Apocalpse fucked everything up, it could have been so much better and at least average like the first movie, a town sprawling with zombies, you have endless options to explore however the story was more based on some fucking ugly monster which used to be the guy from the first film.
Still havent watched the third one even the DVD cover looks shit.
