Shia LaBeouf Talks Indy 5! Plus Oliver Stone's Wall Street sequel Source: BBC
It's just the briefest sliver of a snippet, hidden in a BBC interview to publicise Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen ("we're making movies about toys - it's not The Elephant Man!"), but Shia LaBeouf has let slip that a follow-up to last year's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is taking some kind of embryonic shape.
"Steven [Spielberg] just said that he cracked the story on it, and I think they're gearing it up," he told Auntie Beeb, which is all kinds of interesting. After all, while Crystal Skull made $800 million at the global box office, it's probably fair to say that it's not as well-regarded as its predecessors, and as a result there's precious little fan clamour for a fifth Indy outing.
But if Messrs. Spielberg, Lucas and Ford feel that there's another Indy story to tell, who are we to stop them? And let's face it - no matter what your opinion of Indy IV, Ford was great, and the prospect of seeing him crack the whip again is still a tantalising one. Just no CG gophers this time, please...
He also mentions the forthcoming (in 2010) Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps, Oliver Stone's sequel to his own 1987 original. "Oliver is a different filmmaker than I've experienced," he says ominously, but goes on to describe Spielberg, Stone and Michael Bay as his idols: "It's fun to work with your superheroes. These guys are Batman and Robin to me".
Mmmm, Oliver Stone in tights. Let's just leave you with that image.

Why the fuck did they make Indy get married? I really don't want to sit through another film with Karen Allen in it. Hopefully Berg will have her crushed by a big boulder on a dig in Thebes or something. And get Morgan Freeman in it. I don't know why, but it just seems right. Might detract from the fact that Indy's an old git if Morgo's in there.
as for us fans so I will take a bit of the blame for the most atrocious Marraige scene I've ever seen. You watch the coup... Read More

The funny thing is, when I think of Indy its images from Temple of Doom that jump into my head. The plane running ot of fuel, the spike trap, standing on the rope bridge. Yet its my least favourite of the films just because I find it a bit wearing. Go figure! ... Read More

I loved KOTCS. Saw it thrice at the cinema (though the impact was lessened on the small screen).
So I will welcome a 5th no worries. If it's as good as KOTCS I'll probably see it as many times.

There are plenty of people who enjoyed KOTCS but they seem less vocal and excitable than the people who didn't. They did a poll on another (non movie based) site I frequent recently and the order of popularity was:
