Exclusive: First Ten Minutes Of Doghouse
A taster of the new Danny Dyer movie

01 June 2009  |  Written by Helen O'Hara

submit to reddit

Sometimes a film's synopsis speaks for itself. That's certainly the case with Doghouse, the new comedy-horror from Jake West and starring Brit blokes Danny Dyer, Stephen Graham and Noel Clarke.

The synopsis is this: six friends head off for a weekend in the country after one of them goes through a divorce and the rest feel that they need a break. Unfortunately for them, they pitch up in a town where all the women have been infected with a virus that has turned them into man-hating cannibals. Cue violence.

The film's out on June 12, aka next Friday. You have been warned.

Ten Minute Teaser!
Loved it! Far better than those 30 second action bites, and then huge disappointment when you actually find that those 30 seconds were the best bits. But, back to the movie.......... having just seen (probably) one ninth of the film, do I still want to go out and pay good money for the remaining 80 minutes? It's formulaic, it's laddish, it's British (it's not by Shane Meadows - which might be a good thing?), it's got Danny Dyer (I've read some of these other comments and..............does he More

Looks Cool
I think this looks great fun and there's more to this than Danny Dyer who seems to be a love him or hate him guy, also a great cast including BAFTA winning Noel Clarke, Stephen Graham from This is England and the brillant Lee Ingleby! I'm going to go see this and I think it's a shame Empire hasn't reported more about this film and seems more interested in Blockbusters rather than cool British indie stuff like this. More

Serious Question
What is the appeal of Danny Dyer? He seems to serve no purpose. Can someone please enlighten me? More

Doghouse
Hmmm. Don't know if it's the way I read it, but your piece reads a little dismissively, Helen. Hope I'm wrong. I'm really looking forward to DOGHOUSE since I'm intrigued to see how Jake West does with a relatively decent budget. More
