Brody And Scott Are A Couple Of Dicks
Joining Kevin Smith/Bruce Willis comedy

28 May 2009  |  Written by Chris Hewitt

Seann William Scott and Adam Brody have signed on to star alongside Bruce Willis and 30 Rock’s Tracy Morgan in Kevin Smith’s action comedy, A Couple Of Dicks, about two cops who must team up to retrieve a stolen baseball card, leading to all sorts of complications.

Scott, who appeared briefly in Smith’s Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back in 2001, will play The Shit Bandit (this is a Kevin Smith film, alright!), a thief named after the lovely souvenirs he likes to leave at crime scenes. Delightful.

Brody, whose movie career has been progressing fairly slowly since The OC came to an end (he plays a Satanic rocker in Jennifer’s Body, due out later this year), will play a cop who doesn’t get on with Willis or Morgan.

The script, for the first time on a Smith movie, isn’t self-penned, but instead written by Robb and Mark Cullen, and is meant to be a belter. Certainly, both Scott – an underrated comic actor, for us – and Brody can handle fast-paced dialogue with high snark content, so we’re looking forward to seeing them facing off against Willis, the king of the one-liner.

Filming starts on Monday in New York on the Warner Bros. movie.
