A brand new trailer is online for 9, the animated fantasy brought to us by producers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov. Like Terminator Salvation, but with rag dolls, the story looks at a post-apocalyptic world where a band of toys, given the spark of life by a scared scientist before his death, are left to fight the evil machines overtaking the world in order to save civilization.
Starring Elijah Wood as dolly number 9, the cast also includes the vocal stylings of Jennifer Connelly, Crispin Glover, Martin Landau, Christopher Plummer and John C. Reilly.
The trailer is as explosive as any action movie, but with a touch of the Burton twisted aesthetic and Bekmambetov's signature gloom obviously influencing director Shane Acker's final product.
that looks so dark and amazing. Anyone know what song that is at the end of the trailer, or is it an original score? More

OH HELL YEAH
This is the film I'm most looking forward to this year...
Finaly, a grim, dark animation soaked in a post-apocalyptic vision, with a healthy dose of morbid imagination...
Looks excellent. More

looks familar...
looks a bit like the sackboys from littlebigplanet. god i love that game! More
I think it looks absolutely brilliant. I'm so glad this is being expanded upon because the original short is really very cool, and full of potential as something bigger.
PG13 in the US. Obviously not aimed squarely at the kids either.
Now... give me a HD version!

Looks like good stuff...
I was intrigued when I saw the first trailer, and I thought it looked to be a good watch. I am definately a fan of the epics, and hopefully the movie creates a mythology that works. BUT, it is TIm Burton, and the dude is a freakin' genius sometimes, so I have faith. More

I'm really excited by this. Looks like a grown-up animation at last. Can't wait! More
The original short was outstanding and part of what kept the intrigue was that there was no speach. Going on this trailer it should of stayed that way. I'm still interested in seeing the full feature that said. More
