Demoted Footage Online
Comedy with Cross, Vartan & Astin

Some Cannes footage has been put together in trailer-form for upcoming comedy Demoted, which on the strength of this taster looks pretty amusing.

Mike (Sean Astin) and Rodney (Michael Vartan) are mid-level employees with a fondness for playing pranks on office jerk Ken Castro (David Cross). But when their kindly boss dies, Castro is promoted to his place and Mike and Rodney are demoted to the secretarial pool. Where, unsurprisingly, they don't cope too well.

The film's directed by American Pie 2's James B. Rogers, which admittedly is no guarantee of funny, and written by Dan Callahan. Let's hope that we get a chance to see it for ourselves.
