French G.I. Joe Trailer Online
Zut alors! Beaucoup de explosions!

01 May 2009  |  Written by Helen O'Hara  |  Source: You Tube

Sacre bleu! The trailer for G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra has hit the internet and it is France-centric and explosion-heavy, as you can see below.

Stephen Sommers' adaptation of the hit toy line sees Channing Tatum play Duke, one of a band of super-soldiers picked out to join G.I. Joe and fight against the evil COBRA organisation, led by Christopher Eccleston's Destro and Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Cobra Commander.

As you can see from this clip, the bad guys target Paris with some sort of metal-eating weapon, and the good guys fight back with super-duper "accelerator suits" to enhance their natural abilities. Dennis Quaid, Sienna Miller, Marlon Wayans, Said Taghmaoui, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Rachel Nichols, Jonathan Pryce and Ray Park also star.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is out on August 7 here.

Give it a chance
Yeah it'll probably be rubbish, but i won't write it off just yet. It's still got a good enough cast and lots of action. The script review on Latino Review really rated Stuart Beattie's draft. It looks like the tone of movie is suitably daft, which is refreshing in these times when every film is trying to go dark. I was a Joe' fan as a kid so here's hoping it is a rollercoaster ride of action and humour that it should be More

RE: Utter
L: broonie To me, I keep thinking it's like a live version of Team America...only without the singing. Has Sommers ballsed it up again? s soon as the eiffel tower toppled, I found myself singing 'America, f**k yeah!' This looks like a cross between a bad video game and a matrix sequel, so have no hopes for this More

Ok, I'm was expecting this to be total crap, and it's still gonna be pretty poor. It won't be anywhere near as good as I think Transformers will be but it's bound to be better than Wolverine which was a giant crock of shit. However, that trailer's pretty cool and shows it's not afraid of being totally ridiculous...afterall, it is based on a toy. And I'm loving the Hollywood phase of blowing up famous landmarks More
