Danny Huston Off On A Poseidon Adventure
He's latest to join Clash Of The Titans

Danny Huston Off On A Poseidon Adventure

Danny Huston – currently attracting boos and hisses as the villainous Stryker in X-Men Origins: Wolverine – has become the latest actor to join the eclectic cast of Louis Leterrier’s remake of Clash Of The Titans.

The 46 year-old, who specialises in baddies and slimy bureaucrats, will play the Greek God of the Sea, Poseidon, in the big-budget adventure movie, which started filming in London on Monday.

Jack Gwilim played the same role in the 1981 original, but we can only presume that Poseidon, who controls the deadly Kraken and has it off with the minging Medusa, has a larger role this time – hence Huston’s involvement.

Huston joins a bulging cast, including Sam Worthington as Perseus, Gemma Arterton as Io, Liam Neeson as Zeus, Ralph Fiennes as Hades, and Dirk Kuyt on the right wing. Alexa Davalos, Jason Flemyng, and Mads Mikkelsen round out the cast of a movie that could be utterly, utterly bonkers but brilliant. Fingers crossed.

I'm a little dubious about this project, i mean, great cast - Ralph Feinnes as Hades that's pretty much a dream come true. But i guess like everybody else i'm worried about Leterrier. Don't get me wrong here INCREDIBLE HULK SUCKED.......but whilst i loathed the story i never really blamed Leterrier for it. I thought the visuals were actually well above par, f**k i thought they were brilliant, a masterclass in some instances. The problem was that god-damn awful script from Zak Penn (i heard was s... Read More

Hurray for Huston!
I watched Danny Huston watching paint dry. As for Louis Leterrier, he s*cks d*nket d*ng, so this film will not be good. How can the man who brought such t*rds as Transporter 2 and The Inedible Hulk be given so much money and such a prestige title to play with? He'll do something stupid, like all the beards will be CG! And worn by girls! ... Read More

Brilliant, he was by far the best thing in Wolverine and is a fantastic actor; I just hope that unlike the Harry Potter films which are packed with equally good actors Clash of the Titans doesn’t reduce them to 5 minute spots. Fiennes, Neeson, Huston, Mikkelsen and Fleming are all very much worth a watch, still not too sure abut the director of Danny the Dog but if Sam Worthington is half as good as everyone says (he can’t be any worse than Harry Hamlin) this could be a pretty awesom... Read More
