First Shots From Expendables Online BANG! CRASH! EXPLOSION! BULLET!
It’s only been filming for a couple of weeks, but the first official stills from Sylvester Stallone’s insane action pic, The Expendables, have just gone online!
In case you weren’t aware, somehow, the movie, which is pretty much number 1 on Empire’s list of films we’d like to see right bloody now, please, stars Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Mickey Rourke, Eric Roberts, Philip Schofield, Sky Sports News’ anchor Ian Payne, and Grotbags the Witch as mercenaries who try to take down an evil South American dictator.
And the four stills give us our first look at Stallone as the Expendables’ grizzled leader, Barney Ross, The Stath’s Lee Christmas, and Roberts and Austin, as Monroe and Dan Paine. There is, we’re delighted to see, an explosion – and people are running away from it. There are tough guy stares. There is a 62 year-old man running around, waving a gun at something. These are, simply put, the greatest pictures of any movie EVER TAKEN.
But don’t take our word for it – click here to check out the GREATEST STILLS EVER TAKEN for yourself.
The Expendables is currently shooting in Brazil, and will soon move to Louisiana.

@dididave - I think you mean Rambo 4 a.k.a. John Rambo. Rambo 3 was the one in Afghanisation with him battling the Soviets. An awesome film by the way - nobody can forget that one. ... Read More
Lets all face facts this will be the greatest action film in decades as long as that fucking '12A' certificate is kept well away. This has to be an '18' cert, maybe not quite as violent as 'Rambo 4', but up there. Just don't give us the soft Cinema release and then the uncut, hardcore, bloodthirsty DVD release 6 month later. ... Read More
Yes, Sly has made some turkeys, but this should be one of the greatest action movies ever. Glad to see that he has assembled a crew worthy of the status of action heroes, past and present from Arnie to the Stath. ... Read More
I don't know why but these stills make me hard!! Wonder what the body count's going to be? 300+? I can't wait for the trailer. You know it's going to have the 80's voice over! Starting with "He lost his wife, his family, his home, his country, his pet goldfish, his pension book..... now it's personal!" ... Read More
If Stallone knows one thing he knows how to make an action movie. Sure he sometimes oversimplifies a story and focuses on the big bangs too much but with the "who's who" of action stars, including some great actors in their own right, on the set I am positive this will prove to be Stallone's greatest finest moment (excluding the obvious Rocky). ... I think we're all dubious; if it pays off it'll be legendary, if not, it'll be two stars. I don't feel there will be any middle ground for it. ... Read More
