Six New Harry Potter Posters Online
The gang goes dark for Half-Blood Prince

27 March 2009  |  Written by Helen O'Hara  |  Source: MSN

As Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince inches ever so slowly closer to release, here are six new character posters for the film to whet our appetite a little further - as if the fans needed the encouragement.

For non-fans, these are spoiler free. For those familiar with the book, however, there are some nice touches here. Note that the newspapers blowing around behind Harry show headlines mentioning Deatheater attacks, and a picture of Lucius Malfoy; that Dumbledore's standing outside a sea cave; that Ron is wearing Quidditch robes; and that Snape is in the astronomy tower (gasp! Eeeek! Take a minute to collect yourselves if necessary).

In fact, aside from Draco's appalling turtleneck jumper and shoulderpadded jacket, there's lots to love here. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is out on July 17.

I have to diasagree a bit with you Hobin Wan Kenobi (lol). I think they've deviated a lot in the previous films and that's why i'm not having high hopes for this. I'd rather not expect much and be totally blown away. I was quite disappointed with order of the phoenix and goblet of fire, hopefully they can regroup and actually focus on what is an amazing book. Is it just me...
Or does Ron look a little like Cook from 'skins' in that poster...? Also, you would NEVER see the real Draco in Muggle clothing. Just saying... More

Just hope that it remains as true as possible to the book, they have been pretty good at that in all the other films so I have high hopes. These next 3 films (I assume the Deathly Hollows is gonna be split into 2 films) are what its all been building to and if they are half as good as the books then we are in for a treat More

RE: Draco and John Woo
L: Ambition If you've ever seen his real life counter part in an interview, you suddenly find much more respect for his acting abilities. Unlike Emma Watson for example, who just plays herself. I find Rupert Grint and Snape hilarious, so i can't wait to see their beefed up roles. And I REALLY hope that those doves behind Hermione signal something a bit John-Woo! sp; Actually, I think the only thing that Emma Watson has in common with Hermione is that she is very clever. Emma Watson.....looking particularly UN-Hermione-ish.....again! My feeling is that out of all the kids, its only Luna, Neville and Seamus that have any grasp on what their characters think and feel or have any sense of what their character "is about". The rest just pull faces. More

RE: Hope Draco Gets Better Acting Skills This Time!
Personally I've always thought Tom Felton was one of the better actors in this franchise, and look forward to his on-screen time. He should have a greater prominence in the next film, which imho will be a good thing.   Great to see Ron looking moody in his quidditch robes. Fingers crossed he'll actually have to do some acting this time, but I'm not all that hopeful.   Roll on the summer... More

RE: Hope Draco Gets Better Acting Skills This Time!
L: njholmes I've always thought he wasn't great, and thought thats why he's never used much in the films, in comparison to the books of course. But he's got kind of an unavoidably large part in the book this time so I'd be interested to see how he does, and whether Yates gives him as much importance as he does in the book. But as I said, I dont think he couldnt. sp; Dracos acting skills????????????????????????  Have you seen any skills in the other "child" actors then?  There More
