Where The Wild Things Are Trailer
Finally, a better look at Jonze's latest

After teasing us with still images for a little while now, Spike Jonze has finally delivered a trailer for Where The Wild Things Are to give us a better look at what he has planned.

Click the link to watch the first trailer for Where The Wild Things Are in high definition on Apple.

Judging by this trailer, it's going to be a feast of earthy tones for the world of the Wild Things, and a greyer palette for reality. We don't get to hear much of the voice work here - just a few words from James Gandolfini's Carol - so that's all still to come, but there's more action-y goodness than we might have expected, and a dreamy, almost Virgin Suicides tone to it that smacks of Jonze's indie roots.

Where The Wild Things Are is out on October 16 in the US, and not soon enough here.

RE: Where The Wild Things Are Trailer
yeah the song was two different versions of wake up, the first being a live acoustic recording of wake up and the second being the regular album version from funeral. funeral is amazing, the more people that check out the album from this trailer the better. More

This looks like a non-animated 'My Neighbour Totaro'!!!! Hopefully exciting, but more than likely downbeat. Hopefully exciting! More

Got a little choked watching this. This book was my favourite book as a child...bar none. I still have my copy from 1970. Dog-eared but still magic. Looks like Mr Jonze might have done it justice. More

Was looking forward to this...
And although the shots look good, and the locations absolutely stunning, the creatures put me off. They look 'real' in the sense of they are actually there with Max, but I can't believe in them, they are just men in large costumes. Its such a shame, I really wanted to like this. I was moved when you see one of them in tears, but still not sure it will work, they look too fake. Max however, looks like one of the best child actors I've ever seen. More

RE: Beautiful
Quite clearly i'm the only person on the planet who's never heard of this "most beloved book of all time", but despite this the trailer looks great and i cannot wait to see what all the fuss is about. The puppets reminded me of Dark Crystal, never a bad thing. More
