Exclusive: Star Trek UK Poster
New one-sheet for JJ Abrams' film

26 March 2009  |  Written by Helen O'Hara

Since the first and second Star Trek trailers hit we've been getting rather hyped for JJ Abrams' take on Gene Roddenberry's classic franchise, so we are pleased to bring you the brand-new UK poster for the film.

This effort combines the character shots we've already seen for Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto) and Uhura (Zoe Saldana) with the sight of the Enterprise under construction.

Star Trek is out on May 8.

RE: just one thing
L: Chetta95 Im a huge star trek fan, Im hoping they will do a reboot of next gen if this is successful. Pine looks cooler than shatner ever did. sp; You want a TNG reboot? You think that anyone could be cooler than The Shat? A huge Star Trek fan?   I don't think so. More

GREAT POSTER......
Sits well with the whole new approach to old material. The last few Trek posters all looked the same from The Undiscovered Country onwards.(ie:big starfleet symbol and a head shot or something) At least with this we get a sense of the scale and grandeur that befits epic sci-fi. May is gonna be a huge month for genre pics. WOO-HOO, can't wait. More

Why do I keep thinking of the Seventh Doctor title sequence whenever I see those character shots...? Maybe Spock should be winking. That's right, I said "winking". More

RE: Is this is the offical movie poster ‘one sheet?’
The posters for this film have all been pretty awful. From the drab single character shots with the photoshop filter effect to this example there has been absolutely nothing which makes it stand out or shows any style or imagination. More

My disappointment is unruly! What a Big Let down.
I'm sorry but this poster is such a disappointment. To be honest over the past few months this Movie has had a lot of positive buzz, which for a Star Trek movie is really something. Their is nothing new, epic, fun or great about this poster. And personally Paramount have definitely got it wrong if they want to turn heads and get new fresh faces into the cinemas in May. More

Good movie shame about the poster...
I hope this cheap and, frankly, tacky effort doesn't do for Star Trek what another awful poster did for "Serenity" at the cinemas More

Wow! Does that suck!!
I'm still waiting to be inspired by this movie and this doesn't help. The Enterprise, sitting on the ground? It's a frakkin' STARSHIP!! The same promo shots of the cast we've seen since last summer!! Are you sure this isn't a fake? More

Decent poster, the 'Empire Exclusive' ruins it though and won't make it on my desktop for that. @Keyzer: I think ST has a bright future, and Eric Bana was a bit of inspired casting that gives ST great credibility for the future. Tbh, I am amazed Bana even accepted the role. All good things More
