To brighten up your Monday morning, USA Today has a plethora of pics from Spike Jonze's Where The Wild Things Are, the long, long-awaited adaptation of Maurice Sendak's well-loved book.

Newcomer Max Records plays Max, the boy who goes on a journey to where the wild things are, and meets wild things including the horned, cat-like Carol (James Gandolfini), long-furred KW (Lauren Ambrose), the rhino-horned Judith (Catherine O'Hara), big-nosed Ira (Forest Whitaker), chicken-like Douglas (Chris Cooper), goat-like Alexander (Paul Dano) and the Bull, who doesn't speak. Catherine Keener plays Max's mother.

Just caught the trailer. Didn't do anything to me, just a furry version of King Kong with kids to me. Hope Jonze has something up his sleeves, casting wise he certainly does. More

I agree - this film looks amazing. Love what Jonze has done visually. I guess it all hinges on the Wild Things themselves; they look great still but movement is the key. More

I really can't wait for this. These pictures look stunning and Spike Jonze seems to have captured the tone of the book perfectly. More
