Away We Go Trailer Hits The Net
Sam Mendes stays Stateside

Maybe it's because we're still pulling ourselves together after Revolutionary Road, but the lack of fanfare over Sam Mendes' next offering is just a little surprising. It's crept under the radar so far, but Away We Go is rooted firmly in Mendes' favourite milieu - the trials and tribulations of American suburbia - and, judging by the trailer, will offer a sharp script and plenty of lo-fi quirkiness.

Away We Go sees a young expectant couple, Maya Rudolph and the US Office's John Krasinski, embarking on a trip across America to find the perfect home to raise their child.

With Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jeff Bridges, Catherine O'Hara and the always-fabulous Allison Janney, the cast has a strong look to it. Click here to watch the trailer.

Away We Go is released in the US on June 5 and will be out in Blighty later this year.

L: wooz This looks really lovely! Hopefully it's not quite as guitar-pickingingly every-other-indie-film from the last however-long as the trailer suggestsuote] Yeah, that's the vibe I got too. At least it's got the director and cast (a mix of established, up-and-coming and interestingly left-field) to give hope for good things. More

I like the look of this. The trailer kinda over-sells the indie vibe a bit, but seeing as I want to be Alison Janney when I grow up, all is forgiven. More
