The Rock Has A Cow, Man
Dwayne Johnson to voice CGI film

06 March 2009  |  Written by Helen O'Hara

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is all set to voice a bull in upcoming film Holy Cow! And while Home on the Range didn't exactly break box-office records, and The Barnyard was equally lacking, maybe this time cows on screen will prove as fascinating as cowboys.

The twist to this story is that Johnson's "macho" Texas steer decides that he needs to move to India, where cows are revered rather than eaten, to avoid a nasty fate. So there could be a rather nice cross-cultural element to the whole thing, and at least the Indian angle gives it a shot at originality.

The film's currently going out to writers and directors, but is set to be a co-production between Johnson's White Buffalo Media and the LA and Mumbai-based Prana Animation Studios. In the meantime, His Rockness's child-friendly career continues in the upcoming Race to Witch Mountain and The Tooth Fairy.

So you think this a planned effort to get more family friendly films or Mr Johnson taking anything that'll pay the bills? The Rock had a ridiculious amount of fans when he was still wrestling ...surely there is ONE good director that wants him their film??? The guy has definatley got a likeability factor going for him! WHAT'S HAPPENED TO YOU MAN
You were the next big thing in actioners - Return to The Jungle and Walking Tall were both enjoyable and they showed real promise on your future Rockness. You let Southland Tales get to you and now you've gone all Pacifier on us and gone Disney-lite Rock. Thank heavens we have Jason 'The Stath' Statham as our icon for action. More
