Old Timers Gets Ready To Roll
Ocean's Eleven meets The Bucket List

According to Forbes, Sidney Kimmel is one of the world’s richest men, with a net worth of $1.1 billion (that’s about, at a rough guess, about $1.1 billion more than Empire’s gross worth, although only a billion more than the budget of Lizard In A Blizzard).

And today, through his production company Sidney Kimmel Entertainment, he shelled out some of his hard-earned on a spec script by playwright Noah Haidle, entitled Old Timers. And we can’t say we blame him – this one sounds very promising.

The film will revolve around two conmen in their sixties who, after one of them becomes terminally ill, get their old crew together for a night of debauchery and criminal shenanigans.

So, it’s Ocean’s Eleven meets The Bucket List, then. And as pitches go, we’d buy that for a dollar. As long as Haidle, for whom this would be his first feature film, can keep a lid on the schmaltz, this should be worth watching, and could even become something of a magnet for older actors, like The Expendables for OAPs.

Any ideas for casting, readers? You know where to leave ‘em. In the meantime, we’re off to start busking outside Uncle Sidney’s office.

This sounds abit like 'The Old Guys' with Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas, a film worth seeing just to watch a seventy odd Douglas skipping. As for casting this movie what about Harrison Ford? Though naturally a leading man Ford shines when it comes to playing off others (Anne Heche, Sean Connery). This buddy movie concept could be the perfect vehicle for his good old self. Morgan Freeman. Why not get 'The Bucket List' actor himself to star. Freeman's a fine actor; capable of carrying a film o More

Bring back the Space Cowboys cast. The movie was crap but eastwood, garner, sutherland and jones rock! And he may be a bit young but if they can find a spot for Richard Jenkins then all the better. More

This sounds
Crap. It will rip off Ocean's 11 no end and have none of that films charm. It will be full of life lessons from the old timers and schmaltz which everyone will want to forget about the moment they leave the cinema! Please, nobody with talent sign up for this rubbish? More
