Inglourious Basterds Trailer Now Online Get your first look at QT's latest Source: Yahoo! Movies
After debuting, laden down with bells and whistles, on a US TV show, the first trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s WWII pic, Inglourious Basterds, has gone online over at Yahoo.
A true teaser, the promo revolves around the pivotal speech by Brad Pitt’s Lt. Aldo Raine, in which he lays down the law to his group of Jewish soldiers (aka the Basterds): he wants Nazi scalps. Lots of Nazi scalps.
While Pitt, clearly having fun with Raine’s gruff Southern lilt, tackles the typical Tarantino monologue, we get brief flashes of some of the movie’s action, while blood-spattered graphics tell us that the story takes place ‘once upon a time in Nazi-occupied France’ and that ‘you haven’t seen war until you’ve seen it through the eyes of Quentin Tarantino’.
We’re hugely excited about this movie – the widely leaked script is enormous fun, and the teaser implies that QT has captured that same sense of demented glee, notably in Pitt's performance and the brief appearance by one pissed-off Adolf Hitler.
Eagle-eyed viewers will also be able to spot the first glimpse of Diane Kruger as German movie star and spy Bridget Von Hammersmark, in a bar confrontation that may become the movie’s defining scene; Melanie Laurent as vengeful farmer’s girl, Shosanna, who drives the plot; and Eli Roth as Sgt. Donnie Donowitz, one of the most prominent Basterds who wields a baseball bat with all the gruesome relish you might expect from a guy who directed Hostel.

I think this film look bloody brilliant!! Violent, exciting, and already showing off some memorable lines! I even am not bothered about Eli Roth being in it. I worked out today that in Death Proof he seemed to just be playing himself, where as here he is actually playing a character, and he has that mental look about him (and judging by his films the mind of a psychopath) that could work really well for his character. What happend to Eric Roth and Michael Madsen????I read about them being in this film a long time ago. eli Roth sucks cock,he cant act for shit!!The small part he had in Death Proof was awful. The film is suppose to be this great epic he's been writting for a long time but it sounds like a DIRTY DOZEN RIP OFF. Also the girl Sasha out for revenge is too close to Kill Bill.

Hitler looks like the one from Russ Meyer's 'UP!' Hahah - Certainly not a worthy Hollywood attempt at WW2, which I imagine is still a sensitive subject for the surviving generations who expect respectful portrayals of the war, not to mention the critics who I think are going to want to trash it for that very reason. So I imagine this is going to cause alot of offense and probably not in a good way....Tarantino seems to be getting stupider with his movies...

As a teaser, this really disappoints! I don't find it, at all easy, to believe in Brad Pitt's character. He doesn't seem convincing on any level; the accent is off, the physical delivery is off, and his level of sincerity, definitely, is off!
On a technical level, the teaser is lacking, also. The cutting between image and text is not tight enough. There is most definitely a lack of audio effects - in the right places! We start off with some nice ones, ... Read More
