Yes, it's true that the following is not, in the strictest sense, news. Or, for that matter, in the loosest sense. But given that it's a dull January Tuesday (presumably the second most miserable day of the year, given that yesterday was the most miserable), here's something to brighten your day and, incidentally, celebrate the fact that Barack "Change" Obama is inaugurated today, which has got to be good news even for us non-Americans.
With that all in mind, enjoy the following: 40 inspirational movie moments in two minutes. Watch, savour and enjoy the increase in productivity and general outlook that follows. Well, it worked for us.
At the risk of overstatement, that might be the best thing ever. Free Willy + Sloth = Genius. Truthfact. More

Loved it!
This really made my day! Especially like it when I was all ready to scream out 'Freedom' and got the 'independance day' instead.
Thanx! Es. More

RESPECT THE CINEMATIC SCENE, my friend.
Love the compilation! I think there should have been some "Blazing Saddles" in there. A lot of people around inauguration time make speeches about how Dr. King and Mandela's dreams are coming true today and it's easy to forget the little funny film that could by Mel Brooks, my favourite funny and a great film about racism in America. And farting cowboys! More

Based on a random sample (or rather my email inbox and empire's "news" page)...Obama's inauguration is apparently all about cheap DVDs and anti-semitic bigots playing thuggish Scots. My heart is duly warmed. More
