I Love You Man Red Band Trailer
It's got swearing and everything

19 January 2009  |  Written by James Dyer

submit to reddit

There's nothing wrong with a bit of good, old-fashioned man love, and in Paul Rudd's new comedy, I Love You Man, the joys of male bonding are explored to the fullest. Peter (Rudd) is about to get married but, being more of a girls' guy, finds he has no suitably XY friends to fill the position of best man. Desperate to rectify the situation before the big day, Peter goes on a series of man dates to find himself a best friend. Enter Sydney (Jason Segel), an all-round guys' guy and the perfect candidate to put Peter in touch with his inner caveman.

The all-new, all-sweary red band trailer is now online and you can watch it below.

Good times
to the homophobic compainer this is just a funny concept for a film don't be so gay about it. Also how can you not love the Rudd. The whole poin of this style of film is to have a happyish soppy moralistic ending cos then it isnt just a nobrains comedy. I personally think this will be cool as cool can be. JK and Segel on board too!!! woohoo, and his fiance's got some cool french hotness about her as well. More

How did I miss this one? I'm a big fan of Segel from How I Met Your Mother and suchlike, so I'm amazed to find this had kind of slipped unde rmy radar. Definitely looking forward to it now. More

Surely no film can possbily contain Paul Rudd, Jason Segal AND the legendary J K Simmons without being the greatest motion picture of all time More

Funny :)
Laughed quite a few times in this which is always a good sign. Hopefully the ending wont be total cheese like most of these films have been though. More

I bloody love Paul Rudd. What a God. Wish he'd make a drama now and again though. He has more in him than constant comedies. More

Is it just me or is Paul Rudd is absolutely everything at the moment? Not that i'm complaining,...i mean it could be worse,...it could be Mark Whalberg...( More

Segel rocks
oks great! Segel & Rudd were great together in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, a film that makes me laugh more and more each time I see it. Plus I have a huge inappropriate crush on Segel from his 'Freaks and Geeks' days - he always reminds me of a big dumb puppy, so I'll be looking forward to this. And I laughed out loud at least twice! Maybe I'm just easier to please?   ife hands you lemons, just fuck the lemons and bail..." More

Unconvinced
Dunno about anyone else; I loved Knocked Up, Superbad and Role models, but I'm really not sure about this one. Cant say I really laughed once in the whole trailer. Hope they prove me wrong as Paul rudd is brilliant usually, and I dont know Segel well as I missed Missing SM. More
