New Poster For Latest Street Fighter
Legend of Chun Li looks well, legendary

Behold the brand spanking new poster for the latest installment of Street Fighter action - Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.

Role call from top to bottom we have... Desperate Housewives stalwart Neal McDonough as big bad M. Bison, Black Eyed Pea Taboo as masked Spaniard Vega, Michael Clarke Duncan as knuckle-dragging boxer Balrog, Terminator Salvation's Moon Bloodgood as Maya, Smallville star and fast-kicking heroine Kristen Kreuk as Chun-Li herself and Chris Klein as Nash.

Here's a little Street Fighter trivia for you: M. Bison was originally the name of Balrog, the boxer. Vega, the effete, claw-wielding fence-climber, was called Balrog and the big boss was once called Vega. However, when the Street Fighter II game received its US release in 1991, legal eagles took issue with a character called M. Bison who so clearly resembled a certain M. Tyson. Thus the names were duly shuffled to avoid any nasty copyright issues. Quite why they felt the need to switch all three characters' names to remedy the misnomer is anyone's guess.

Directed by Polish film-maker Andrzej Bartkowiak (Romeo Must Die), the film is due this side of the pond some time around March.

I'd rather suck shit through a tramps sock than watch this pile of wank! ....Although, if Kristin Kroak does the spinning bird kick and we get even the slightest glipse of her growler,....i'm in! More

IMO
Okay so the poster... well it is bad, but the trailer IMO is not too bad, it does look like the most realistic game to movie transition but then again the other game to movie films have been awful! I agree with most of the comments on the forum, why not have Lei as the main image or a shadow of her fighting pose? Also why are they making this again, whether people will admit it or not ST2 version one was by far the best camp / cheap popcorn fest / badly written / bad effect films that everybody More

Hmmm
Yeah, that's a pretty shitty poster. I saw the trailer and think it looks like goofy fun, I remember thinking it was cool that they were using the Street Fighter logo from the upcoming SFIV game, like they were going for some extra brand continuity. The font they've used on this poster however, it makes me think of Street Hawk? Whatever. I'll most likely watch it. And as for the no Ryu/Ken complaints, I'm pretty sure I heard this could be the start of an X-Men: Origins style series, if this does More

Agreed
It's a movie about Chun Li. She should be front and centre. More

Poor!
If the film is about Chun Li then the poster should have her front and centre. Just a shadow of her in a martial arts pose would have good enough. More

What a pile of...
...shite! Just watched the trailer on youtube and it looks worse than i had imagined. The Street fighter story is mainly surrounding Ken and Ryu and even if they had been a part of this film it would still probably be an absolute bag of toss. More
