Gerry Butler To Hunt Jennifer Aniston
In Andy Tennant's bounty hunter comedy
Source: Variety

Gerry Butler To Hunt Jennifer Aniston

Bounty hunters. We don’t need their scum.

But it sure helps when they’re played by Gerard Butler. The charming Scot will take time out from being Our Helen’s stalkee to star in an as-yet untitled romantic action comedy in which he’ll play a bounty hunter who is assigned to find his ex-wife, played by Jennifer Aniston.

Of course, the minute you mention ‘bounty hunter’ and ‘comedy’ in the same sentence, the magnificent Midnight Run is immediately brought to mind. But while this movie is unlikely to have the acerbic spirit of the Robert De Niro/Charles Grodin classic – Fool’s Gold director Andy Tennant will call the shots, after all – it sounds like it could be a fun rom-com, with plenty of potential for Butler and Aniston to bicker and argue and fall for each other all over again.

Sarah Thorp wrote the script for the movie, which Columbia Pictures and producer Neal Moritz (who is apparently producing 278 movies over the next year or so) are aiming to start shooting in May.

I'm sure it's just me but does this sound just a tiny bit similar to the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt movie Mr and Mrs Smith? That being the movie that supposedly split Aniston and Pitt? Hmm... ... Read More

Thumbs Up!
Okay, this was so coming for me. All those romance rumours between the two and it's all for a film they want to do together. Well, it sounds good and rom-coms are doing alright in the box office. He can do comedy like the upcoming Ugly Truth which looks great and Aniston can do it too. I don't mind what accent he's got, American or Scot, he just does it for me. ... Read More

Butler can do comedy. So can Aniston. Tennant on the other hand - tired laughter inducing gloop is his M.O. Here's hoping Butler is playing a Scot again (why not?) and not using his 50 states in 50 seconds accent from the Ugly Truth ... Read More
