Fincher Directing Keanu?
In a film called Chef

Sometimes there's a rumour so tasty that we have to comment on it even before everything is confirmed. Production Weekly is reporting that David Fincher is attached to direct Keanu Reeves in a project called Chef - but that's all we know for now.

So what do we think it's all about? A live-action remake of Ratatouille? A Sweeney Todd-inspired psycho-type tale? An epic globe-trotting tale of the search for the perfect steak?

The project's set up at Paramount, and if it does indeed exist could go into production fairly soon - Reeves has finished shooting The Private Lives of Pippa Lee and will soon finish promotional work on The Day The Earth Stood Still, while Fincher has locked The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and is only attached to one other film, Heavy Metal, a portmanteau piece that has yet to find a studio.

We'll bring you more on this as we get it but in the meantime why not read our five suggestions as to what it should be about. Click Here.

Chef
Sounds like a film Fincher had planned to direct years ago, straight after Fight Club, based on the memoirs of a New York Chef, in which all the sick things happening backstage of New York's prime dining locations were exposed. Some of it was referenced in Fight Club. More

Eh?
Remake of the old Lenny Henry starring BBC sitcom about an arrogant chef who had nothing but contempt for his boss, staff and customers, especially those who asked for salt without tasting their food first. Ahh, Lenny Henry. He was sooooo funnyn't. More

Empire, you've got it all wrong!
Whilst you're right that keanu reeves has signed on, and david fincher will direct, you've failed to get the crux of the plot. Re-teaming with Forrest Gump scribe Eric Roth, this film is an epic look at 'Chef' through the ages. Part war film, discussing the origins of the ill-fated 'Operation Human Shield' mission and part tragedy (how did a sweet voiced crooner end up in a school canteen?) with a final redemptive third when Keanu/Chef discovers the recipe for Chocolate Salty balls.
