Producer Gale Anne Hurd has had a decent amount of success with comic book movies – she’s overseen both Hulk movies and both Punisher movies through her company, Valhalla Motion Pictures – so it’s no huge surprise to see her return to that world for her latest, Gearhead.
Based on a four-issue Arcana Comics series by the wonderfully-named Dennis Hopeless and Kevin Mellon, Gearhead tells the story of Shelby Cooper, a hot girl with a hot rod and a hotter head who quits the drag strip in order to join a band of rebels and fight a group of corrupt superheroes.
Sounds cool. Sounds demented. Sounds like our cup of tea. More as we get it.
