Star Trek Trailer Now Online
It's officially here in high quality

Star Trek Trailer Now Online

It's been a long time coming, and there have been grainy pretenders online all weekend, but the moment you've been waiting for is finally here: the Star Trek trailer is online, and it's every bit as thrilling as we'd hoped.

This is our first official glimpse of Chris Pine's James Tiberius Kirk, Zachary Quinto's Spock and their crew in action, and it promises to stay true to the canon as well as being action-packed. Look out for the first lines we've heard from Simon Pegg's Scotty and Karl Urban's Bones, as well as Eric Bana's villain getting his sinister on.

RE: Whinge all you want
I was glad to read your reply and can appreciate the explanation of your point of view. Point taken. I agree that the slant towards mindless entertainment is disturbing but films like 'The Dark Knight' makes me cling to hope that true success will come to those films that balance all facets of a good movie. I still have faith in ST though and will reserve judgment until I see the film. It may be a lot of flashy lights but im looking forward to the back and forth between characters - if that ... Read More

Fair point about the chariot but I don't see many kids riding about on horse and carriage these days, just looks like an attempt to distant itself from old-school Trek. ... Read More

L: The Hooded Man Looks different which is what Trek needs but ... why are Spock and Kirk on the Enterprise at the same time when the ship is new, Spock served under Pike on the Enterprise for 11 years before Kirk arrived on the ship? p; Well if Kirk is a cadet in the film, he probably goes back to the Acadmey and finishes training and gets assigned to the Republic and the Farragut while Spock goes off with Pike. I doubt the film will kill Pike (or cripple him) and end with Kirk i... Read More

Looks different which is what Trek needs but ... why are Spock and Kirk on the Enterprise at the same time when the ship is new, Spock served under Pike on the Enterprise for 11 years before Kirk arrived on the ship? Why are people, albeit children, travelling in 20th century vehicles in the 23rd century? that's like us driving about in chariots now. I hope that this doesn't go down the road of being a Star Trek film for people who hate Star Trek, Abrams himself said he loved Star Wars m... Read More

Sorry, it's just Superman Returns.  It's a touchy subject.  But it's ok now - I've had therapy and the doctor says as long as Brian Singer is never allowed near Superman again, I should be fine. Good idea about waiting to see the film before judging - you think that kind of radical thinking might catch on? ... Read More

L: KeithM L: chiropterror "lets have a pointless action scence to keep people interested" world these days. or the umpteenth time, a lack of 'pointless action' was not why SR was hated - it was because it was dumb, emotionally juvenile, lacking in cohesion, internally consistent logic and a decent story, had poor characterisation, flawed casting and direction, a poor script and... really - do I need to go on. If enjoyed it, fine, but please do not try to tell the rest of us wh... Read More
