New Seven Pounds Trailer
Suicide drama, Big Willy style

Something to cheer you up on a grey winter morning-  the new trailer for Will Smith suicide drama Seven Pounds! OK, so it would have to bust a gut to live up to the scmaltz of previous emo flick The Pursuit Of Happyness, but it does co-star Rosario Dawson and Woody Harrelson, so it can't be all bad.

They play two of the seven deserving people selected by Ben (Smith), to receive the spoils of a life he feels he has misspent.
It looks like a real tear jerker even from the trailer, as we see Smith's character learning to embrace life after meeting seriously ill heart patient Emily, played by Dawson.

It's all about "redemption" and "heart" and "living life to the full", so some viewers may wish to empty their popcorn buckets early on, in case it all gets too much.

Watch the Seven Pounds trailer here.

I don't get it. What'd he do in seven seconds?
And who's doing the suiciding? Rosario? More

Another bit of evidence to show that the quality of one's movies is inverse to one's devotion to scientology. More

"schmaltz of previous emo flick"....think that's a bit too much of inappropriate criticism. Whatever one thinks about "The pursuit of happyness", it was a well produced drama with quite a lot of heart. and I guess anybody making a "drama" wants it to become touching...same with people watching dramas: they want some emotion... to say something about the second trailer of Seven Pounds: Nice one, but I liked the first one better, mainly because of the new soundtrack More

Hmmmm
Bit of a spoiler calling it a suicide drama don't you think? More
