First Look At Eastwood's Gran Torino
Clint has a serious glint in his eye

He's back, and this time it's serious. This new poster for Gran Torino shows Clint Eastwood is in shape and looking scarily bad-ass for a 78 year old.

He plays a racist Korean War veteran with a classic car which has caught the eye of a local gang from the immigrant community he despises.

The poster shows us the serious septuagenarian with his 1972 Ford muscle car and M-1 rifle, ready for a showdown. Both are said to symbolise elements of his character Walt Kowalski's life: the weapon is left over from his days in service, and his car was bought when he worked on the Ford plant.

Despite spending most of his time behind the camera these days, Eastwood is now returning to his stance as brooding leading man. Although the film is still being finished, it has prompted Oscar buzz, alongside his other project Changeling, which will opens in US cinemas with a trailer for Gran Torino attached

RE: hard as a bag of hammers
I burst out laughing when Clint actually said the line "GET OFF MY LAWN!"   They should use that for the poster. More

So THIS is Gran Torino. Not quite the Harry Callahan movie I thought it might be when first I heard about it, but maybe that's for the best. Consider me excited about this project again. More

Once a tough B*****d always a Tough B*****d
Just look at that poster. He'd chew you up a spit you out like he did with his tobacco in those westerns. Then he burn you as he's kicking you to death. I hope he's begins a racist and sees the errors of his ways by the end - can't stand racists. More

Awesome had no idea Clint was going to star in a film again, premise for this sounds like it could be really good, Clint with an axe to grind. To think your average 78yr old is probably fit for nothing passing the remainder of their existence sipping tea and nibbling biscuits in a home watching mind numbing spirit crushing TV and then there's Clint directing and acting in near masterpieces. I need to catch up on his recent films I've missed. More

Surely one of the great movie makers of the 20th/21st century with a huge body of great movies both behind and in front of the camera. The man is a real craftsman and not many directors or actors ever reach his level. lets hope he keeps on working as he seems to have many great films left in him. More

Bad ass.
The coolest thing about this is that Clint could easily have bowed out after Million $ Baby, which was a fantastic capper of a final performance for such an icon, but no, that's not good enough for Clint - Clint still feels the need to get on-screen and fuck some shit up! So awesome. I salute you, in awe, sir, and pray that you can go on kicking ass for many more years to come. Woop! More
