Is any one else worried that the blood splat is the wrong shape? It might seem a bit nit-picky, but the shape of the blood is reflected many times in the book. Has it just been overlooked, or what. I was expecting a massive attention to detail and that blood splat was at the top of the list...
o. Not in the slightest. Gibbons didn't try to draw ultra realistically. The blood splat in the movie is more like how a blood splat on a badge would probably look. More

That sounds like a quote more than something you think...
It's stating the bleeding obvious that they're different. But the hardest thing to translate between mediums is time switching. In a novel you can do it in a simple sentence - 'He used to be a teacher before becoming the soldier he is today...' and you can do it a lot without losing too much structure or causing too much confusion. In a comic book, it has to be done over a number of panels, but you can still get aw More

Because it is the way it is told, the very nature of the comic book format that is an intrinsic part of the story. Although on the surface it appears that comic books are just movies in picture form that is not always the case, particularly with Alan Moore’s work which he’s always stated he is writing stuff that can ONLY be expressed in comic book form. I think the film will be entertaining but a lot will be lost, as with all adaptations of literature I suppose. More

From the footage I've seen it looks pretty stylish but can't see how it could work as a film, as Terry Gillian observed it could only be given justice as a mini-series. Plus some of the cast members look a bit too young for the roles, especially Ozymandias.
hat does Gilliam know? He's made some great movies, but his projects tend to be very awkward and bloated - I wouldn't have liked to have seen him do Watchmen tbh. I find it funny how people are using his w More

Not terribly keen on this poster, looks like a bit of lazy design. I do have high hopes for the movie though - please let it be good! The trailers look pretty spot on, as do the costumes. It can't come soon enough....the clock is ticking...... More

Love The Novel and love the tenser trailer and all of the posters so I’m sure I am going to love the film. This could be the one that beats the Dark Knight as the greatest comic book film ever made but that will still be a challenge even for Watchman More

| Good actors though |
Probably too early to tell whether it will live up to the book but I think the cast is pretty well chosen, the actor playing rorshach, jackie earl haley, is excellent, .
Maybe if Zack Snyder gets obssesed over special effects maybe the actor's at least can take care of making it a good film More

Really pleased that the poster is showing an "R" rated certificate? Excellent. I'm glad to see that they're not going to hold back on the graphic( no pun intended) nature of the book. However, I think they'll go for a "15" over here, but it will push the boundaries a tad. More

Loved that moment at Movie-Con, whilst I didn't find too much fascinating with the 3-4 mins of short snippets they showed, not being familiar to the tale, I thought that shot was simply stunning, and it looks great there.
Also, it got rated then, Strong Graphic Violence, Sexuality, nudity and language, is mean it might be pushed into the 18 bracket when they finally rate it over here?
