Looks pretty cool to me. I really like Slevin and as someone mentioned before, I think Chris Evans is underrated. He was great in Cellular and was the best thing in the FF films. Dakota is a fine actress and it will be interesting to see her in a more adult roll. Ok so the subject matter is hardly new but I reckon it will make a great evening at the cinema. I'll be there! Ok - people with super abilities being tracked by the government to make into weapons. It HAS been done before. But both these main actors are great (Chris Evans is incredibly underated - See Sunshine for a fantastic performance), the story is just as interesting as other "comic-book" type films, and the effects look great. and for the record, I like Slevin a lot. Bruce Willis looks mint with a 'tash. More

Cheesy? How's this look cheesy, it looks cool, so what if it's kinda like Heroes, Jumper or X-Men. We've seen it all before?? There's so many fuckin films that been done before, it doesn't mean it's goin to be shit. More

| RE: Uninterested |
It all looks and sounds rediculously generic, like a few have said, it's the type of thing we've seen a million times before. BUT, I do like Chris Evans, I find him particularly charasmatic and likeable as an actor, and the trailer did pick up at the end, some of the action scenes looked pretty cool. I think it's basically going to be 2009's Jumper. Just a common or garden, brain dead action flick, padded out with some philosophical mumbo jumbo.
The director sounds as bad as that Ti More

for me, I found this trailer to be dull and unexciting. It seems like a mix of Jumper, star wars and the matrix. Acting also looks pretty bad. More

I think this looks great! I agree with you, Funk_Knight, but even when something arrives late, it can use what's gone before to improve. It's definitely on Heroes turf, but the season 3 is just more of the same decline. Wanted was trying too hard and The Matrix, well, I always thought it was good, but overrated. Empire calls this a sleeper and if it stays low profile, but could turn out to be very good indeed. Yes, it looks cheesy but when was that a bad thing with a story like this? Heroes coul More

| Just to add to my last comment |
I feel really sorry for the writer director if he created this years ago and during that time Jumper, Wanted and Heroes have stolen his thunder. Unfortunately an original idea can be lost if you don't have immediate access to the film industry. I don't know if that is the case, but if it is.... ouch! More

Hmm - I like to give every film a chance before dismissing it, but I do find this hard to get excited over. We have seen the basic premise far too many times now - especially with Heroes. Matrix, Jumper, and of course X-Men. Still haven't dismissed it - but this is not original by far, I started feeling the strain with Wanted to be honest. A good film is still a good film, and I think I might end up seeing it, but as for the write up seems contrary to the trailer. More

Sci-fi light/comicbook premise, cribbing off Heros: check!
Pusedo-philosophical posturing, cribbed from Matrix: check!
Shady government agency with ridiculous name (cribbing off...ing ever gone before): Sound Off like you gotta pair!
Stage is set for lashings of CGI and silly gunfights: OHHHH YEAHHH!
Bet this movie wont have Morgan Freeman saying motherfucker, though.
Yawn. More

dunno why empire is raving about this or why some people are showing such faith in it. doesn't look like anything special- sort of thing you'd sit through if it was on, but we've seen it all before. goofy premise, lots of sfx, terrible dialogue, completely devoid of characterisation... i wonder if the crunch will affect the production of these big budget so 'n' so's. be interesting to see

Well the action looks suitably fantastic, but the plot does feel a bit Heroes/X-Men/Wanted/Jumper derivative. Hopefully it'll be a cracker, certainly got the cast to back it up.

Like the looks of this, Fanning is always great to watch even when she plays an annoying little brat, agree we've seen this all before but it's the new generation of action film i think, instead of having guns that dont run out of ammo and guys and girls that keep going even after being shot, make em super, it just open the door all the way and starts to climb the stairs. hmm jus seen the trailer..not too impressed im afraid, very very Heroes like as mentioned by others, almost a transition to the big screen.. Lets hope the storyline, sci fi effects, the location in HK with Chris Evans and Dakota Fanning can save this film from being another people with powers clone of a movie going down the drain?? More
