Dragonball Teaser Now Online

If you're a fan of Dragon Ball, in either its comic book, animated, movie or trading card form, you're in for a treat with Dragonball, the live-action version of the story due out next year. And the first teaser trailer has just gone up online - check it out below.

James "Final Destination 3" Wong is directing, with Stephen "Shaolin Soccer" Chow producing. That's Justin Chatwin (War of the Worlds) starring as Goku, the guy who must gather the mythical Dragon Balls to protect the world from Lord Piccolo (James "Buffy legend" Marsters, oh yes). Luckily he'll have help from Chow Yun Fat, Emmy Rossum and Ernie Hudson, which should compensate for the crazy yellow tunic and quiff.

RE: Loooks sooo Cheese!
You are exactly right. I was thinking the same thing when I saw Matrix Revolutions. Even the highly praised Bullet Time is directly stolen from Dragonball. This comic book has a potential, the guys at Empire don“t know what they“re missing and after seeing the trailer something in me died. I am now angry at myself for having watched it. I knew it would suck. I knew it would suck. I just knew. Nobody in Hollywood tries tp prove me wrong that this town is lost. ... Read More

"If you're a fan of Dragon Ball, in either its comic book, animated, movie or trading card form, you're in for a treat with Dragonball, the live-action version" Are you fricking joking Empire? If you can find a single person in the world who likes the original Dragonball and thinks this looks good I'd be amazed. This looks so bad I can't find words to express it. Why the hell does Piccolo look like Darth Sidious?! Piccolo's green ffs. I still had a slither of hope after seeing the awfu... Read More

Meh!
I have very little previous knowledge of all this Dragonball malarkey (although i am aware of the basic premise), so my sympathies go out to all dragonball fans because this looks like absolute toss! Kinda reminds me of when they attempted to make Dungeons and Dragons (with Jeremy Irons and the lad who played Jimmy Olsen in The New Adventures Of Superman) and that was shit too! ... Read More
