New Australia Artwork Online
Oooh, pretty!

Baz Lurhmann has a history of making things look perty and the director of such lavish eye-candy as Moulin Rouge! and Romeo + Juliet is expanding his pallette with his epic new flick Australia.

A love-letter to his homeland set during World War II and concerning the adventures and amour of an English aristo (Nicole Kidman) and a rugged ranger (Hugh Jackman), it's shaping up to be one of the most gorgeous affairs in recent memory. To sate the appetite of romantics around the world, a bunch of new posters have appeared online and, unsurprisingly, they're bleeding lovely.

Click the images below to take a gander.

A release date for Australia has not been set yet.

I WONDER WHAT TO EXPECT?
Is it a deliberate Oscar contender? because if it is we all know the kinda pic it'll be huh? Speaking of Oscar contenders, head over to iKlips for the NEW FROST/NIXON trailer, looks like an acting tour de force if you ask me. More

Bad feeling…
Luhrman does style, but is hopeless at true emotions: expect a flat, hollow romance-make-believe! More

The official site, www.australiamovie.com, shows the UK release date as 26/12/08. Does /i] know something? Is there a chance Fox will take advantage of the gap left by Harry Potter and move the UK release to mid-November to match the US and AU? More

Cheap posters
Love the photography, but where's the framing, the type at the bottom, in fact anything that makes it look like a proper film poster and not one of those cheap and nasty things they sell in HMV when the film is out. Not great. And did I mention I hate that logo? Awful. The Moulin Rouge posters were similar, but better executed. Sure the film will be great though, I love Baz! More
