Friday The 13th Remake Poster Online
IGN has the first poster for the remake of Friday The 13th. Click the small version below to see it bigger.

As you will surely have noticed, that's Jason there in the familiar hockey mask, despite the fact that the original movie's killer was Mrs Voorhees. That's because this film will be taking a revisionist look at the start of the story, actually having more in common with Friday The 13th Part 2. The audience will expect Jason, so they get Jason.

Friday The 13th is directed by Marcus Nispel, who did a pretty solid job with his update of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which tried to be something very different to Tobe Hooper's original. That's what a remake should do, take a new angle on a story, and hopefully bodes well for this movie.

Halloween rip off gets a remake, good gory fun though.
Cant wait for this, i used to love watching the F13TH movies when i was a kid. F13TH part 1/2/3/4 and 6 were the standout movies in the franchise. then Jason X came out, funny as hell. freddy Vs Jason a misguided fuck up of a movie. Hopefully this franchise will get a film the fans have been waiting for since part 4 the final chapter. (Note on the mask, jason had this mask years before lector donned his) ... Read More

why?
All the Friday sequels were essentially remakes of part 1 anyway so cant see what the harm is in doing this. ... Read More

RE: Why?
If this goes down the hardcore route and gets an 18 cert with clever set ups and a good story then I'm there. Hope so as love the originals. I'll wait for the reviews before I see it though.  Is this being done by the Michael Bay company that does all the other remakes. ... Read More

Why?
The phrase "flogging a dead horse" springs to mind. By the way, has anyone noticed that if you cut the top half off, you get Lecter's mask? ... Read More

Still No
It dont matter if she is in it or not. The 1st film was just about her with (spoiler alert for those who have not seen the origanl) a child jason only coming up at the end. Nad the hockey mask does not come in until after the 2nd sequal, another pointless remake, another chance to line their pockets on the work of others and rehash others ideas. I think i can count on 1 hand how many remakes have been any good and can name maybe 2 (the fly and the thing) that surpassed the origanal. The remake... Read More

What's the point of this. The original scared the crap out of me when I first saw it and a lot of the fx could still pass today's standards. (Managed to sneak in under age for an X cerificate back then, fond memories of one of my mates screaming like a wuss at the shock end. Ah, those were the days!) Most of today's so called frighteners don't compare to this benchmark. Don't even get me started on the Scream series, pile of sh......! ... Read More

How bad can it be?
The original film was pretty crap anyway so i don't understand what the fuss is about. I'm fed up of great films being remade and ruined. At least this time they've taken a film which isn't very good anyway. Maybe it'll be improved. It can't be worse. ... Read More
