Disney has snapped up the rights to an untitled spy comedy, the plot of which is being kept under wraps.
So we’re not even sure there’s enough to get us through to a third paragraph, quite frankly. Still, we thought you’d like to know.
Oh, wait, there’s enough info after all – the project will be produced by Charles Segars, who executive produced both National Treasure films. So that might give us a clue as to the size of this thing.
The script will be written by the duo behind Test Drive, Cool School and Chasing Liberty, Derek Guiley and David Schneiderman (who we really, really hope is the star of The Day Today in his superhero guise).
And that’s it, folks. With Get Smart doing well at the box office, it’s clear that there’s a market out there for spy comedies, and Segars and co. are hoping to satisfy that market. |

| Hmmm | Never heard of any of those projects by the writers of said untitled spy comedy. Will it be any good? Who knows, will Get Smart be any good? Probably not if Carells last outing is anything to go by as Evan Almighty was complete cackbumpoo. More
