World Exclusive RocknRolla Trailer
Fix your peepers on Guy Ritchie's latest

25 June 2008  |  Written by Glen Ferris

submit to reddit

Guy Ritchie is back in his old stomping ground with RocknRolla. The Lock, Stock... and Snatch director has returned to the world of dodgy dealers, shady scams and back-stabbing that made his name, with a story of a tale of Russian mobsters running amok in the Big Smoke.

Featuring Gerard Butler, Thandie Newton, Jeremy Piven and The Wire's Idris Elba amongst the cast, the film is out on 5th September but we have the world exclusive look at the first trailer for you right here, right now. Click below.

RE: @ Caster
Just seen the trailer before Wanted at cinema... could go either way tbh. While the mockey geezer thing is long overtired, it doesn't mean it's impossible for a good film to come from the genre... shit, I just realised who's someone's face was in the trailer, it's the sun lunatic in Sunshine (was playing on my mind for ages and hate cheating on imdb).   I'll just wait for the reviews before making up my mind whether to see it or not... RE: @ Caster
his doesn't look like a comedy to me. Which bits do you think were meant to get the big 'Thunder' laughs? :-S p; My point was that the cinema atmosphere plummeted and a couple of joky bits in the trailer were met with contempt-filled silence.  A cockerney-gangster movie, gosh we want to see more of those.    Excrement of the highest order. RE: World Exclusive RocknRolla Trailer
I liked Lock, Stock and Snatch even if they were essentially Tarantino clones, but it would seem that Guy Ritchie has ripped off one of Tarantino's most darkly comic scenes - did anyone notice the bit in the trailer where Butler was on a bed and gagged, and it looked like he was being shagged from behind? Pulp Fiction anyone?   Anyway I think I'll wait until hearing the critical response to this film. I did exactly the same with Revolver, and ended up renting it ins More

Looks Great!!
I loved Lock, stock and Snatch. They are on my all time fav movie list (very big list), though I was very disappointed in Revolver. It just made no sense to me. With RocknRolla, Guy Richie looks like he is returning to the London Gangster. I hope it has the dark humor of his first two films. It is definitely one to watch - Though I will wait for an Empire review FIRST before booking my tickets :-) More

I find it strange when people say that Revolver was drivel then go on to say that David Lynch is a genius. Guy Ritchie brought a fresh gerne to the cinema and seems to get constantly slated for it or descibed as a quick thrill entertainer.
