Full Star Wars: The Clone Wars Trailer
A lengthier look at the animated movie

12 June 2008  |  Written by Olly Richards  |  Source: Yahoo

A second trailer for Star Wars: The Clone Wars has been released, and you can watch it at Yahoo by clicking right here. There are a few neat little nods to shots from the previous films, which should have die-hard fans pawing through it slowly.

What do you think of this latest look at the Star Wars universe?

why do the characters look so shit
the movies landscapes, ships and technology looks greats but those characters look beyond awful like they couldn be arsed to make more of a realist approach instead opting for a kiddie anime sort of approach and why the clone wars what about the twenty years between episode 3 and 4 cause thas one bloody gap i could go on and on lets jus say its looks like a let down More

Looks awful
The more I see about this, the more cringe-worthy I find it. The beginning of the trailer looks like a computer game. It seems to be retelling a stroy that was already told incredibly well in the first volume of the Clone Wars series. Are they going to do a better job of Anakin's battle with the baldy than Gartovzky did? I, for one, don't think so. It also appears to have Anakin fightin Dooku despite the fact that it is strongly implied at the beginning of Revenge of the Sith that they haven't m More

As said below Phantom looked good from the trailer and that lead to the most disappointing experience of my life. After Indy 4 think Im done giving Lucas my money and am I the only one whose not sure what the point of this film is? More

What I've seen of this actually looks pretty cool. Should hopefully banish memories of Ewoks and Droids. More

Star Wars is back
Now this maybe will rescue all our faith in old George. The look is great (nothing wrong with Tartaksky's look at the time but time has pasted) really just want to see more and more. Hopefully the writers can perform for the TV series. As a fan of the expanded universe books there are some really good stories out there so hopefully they have managed to catch the flow. Hate negative comments for no other reason that is Lucas destroying this and that well if you dont like the idea STAY AWAY and More

Hey-zeus, this looks hot...
For a while before I initially saw the trailer, I had the notion that Star Wars, at least the on-screen iterations, were "complete," in the sense that the silver screen saw six parts, and you either love it or hate it. Take books for example. Try to count how many Star Wars literature out there and you will be up past your bedtime. They all connect and most of 'em are pretty good. But now, it has truly taken a life of it's own on the screen, and I kick myself for thinking that this More

RE: Interesting
L: Hochopepa I will most likely go and see this, I really liked the animation stuff that was done before sith. My main feeling however is that Lucas got the timing of the prequels all wrong. He should have started with a modified AotC, then have the second film cover the stories used in the animation (replacing the baldy female sith with Darth Maul) before finishing with RotS sp; Agreed.  As a whole, the prequel trilogy squandered its potential by not focussing on the right e More

Am I the only one who feels that Star wars ran it's course a long time ago? Sure the original three were masterpieces but if you ask me it should have ended there. I mean, you don't see Coppola releasing Godfather prequels. Maybe it's time Lucas tried thinking of a new fucking idea before the glory of the originals are completely wiped from memory. And why does Count Dooku look like a mutated dwarf More

RE: Lucas has reached heaven
Although Im slightly excited about this movie I think that they are really getting the whole time line wrong. If they were gonna bring a new animated movie they should scrap the new game and base it on that (Darth Vaders secret apprentice). More

Lucas has reached heaven
I'm glad to see george has finally attained his dream and ditched actors altogether now. He tried to make ewan and hayden is wooden as possible in the prequels, but didn't quite make them wooden enough so now he's created cgi actors which he can animate to be as rubbish as possible. Congratulations! More

Recycling
Well i think that it looks great, im just annoyed that it is set again within period of Luke Skywalker, R2D2 and co. I think that Star Wars universe is big enough to explore other possibilities. This look like it was seen, lik thousand times... Of course as a SW fan cant wait to see this one (animated form seems to be right choice for SW) More

RE: Interesting
The trailer looks good, but if there's one thing w've learned over the last few years it's that all new Star Wars trailers look great. The only thing I'm not to fond of is the character design, but that'll possibly grow on me. More

Well, permit me to be excited for you all then.  I think this looks fun and like it could be more along the lines of what we were hoping for from the prequels.   I (DO NOT) have a bad feeling about this More

Let it go George!
Couldn't agree more The_Hat.. I don't think I could be less interested. Lucas was unable to keep me entertained for even two hours during any of the prequels and he had over 20 years prep time on those. Not holding out much hope for any of what I'm sure will banal dog droppings More

I feel a bit sad.
There was a time when i would have been greasing up my lightsabre in anticipation about this film, but i don't know if it's because of those damn prequels or if it's just because i'm getting older, but i can't pluck up the enthusiasm to be arsed about this. I think it's probably the former. Damn you George Lucas, i think you've stolen those heady days from me forever. More
