Rodriguez Wants Women In Chains
Director shopping around prison drama

28 May 2008  |  Written by Olly Richards  |  Source: The Hollywood Reporter

Robert Rodriguez is still in a grimy frame of mind. Having recently given the world Planet Terror he's now shopping around a TV series called Women In Chains, which would seek to reignite the women's prison exploitation genre. His fiancee Rose McGowan, who is also set to play Barbarella if his remake gets off the ground, is intended for the lead.

Rodriguez would plan to direct the show, written by Josh Miller and Mark Fortin, with McGowan playing one of five ladies chained up in a prison. With such women-behind-bars staples as mud wrestling planned to feature you can likely guarantee a high turnout in the teenage boy demographic.

Heh. The "Women in Cages" trailer on Planet Terror was actually a genuine trailer for a genuine film (starring Pam Grier). More

Bad Girls
This sounds fooking fantastic. Everyone likes chick in chains flicks and this could be the single greatest film in holllywood history. All we need now is for Paul Verhoven to remake Isla: The Shewolf of the SS with Kim Katrell as the aforementioned evilstress and we can all crack open the bubbly and party into the wee hours. More

So he's basically got no good ideas anymore and is relying on shit he came up with for comic value for the rest of his career? More
