I'm curious about it. I would like to know whats "Happening" but there could be nothing happening if he is trying to compare himself to The Exorcist. Signs creeped me out at times, so this could also have moments of actual horror.
either that or its gonna be terrible. The Village was really hyped up and I didn't think it was as good as his previous films. More

It doesn't matter whether the reviewer liked it or not. It's the part where he describes the plot that makes me think that this film sucks.The idea of killer plants, 'menacing trees' and people running away from wind is just ludicrous. No matter who made it, the idea is stupid. The fact that Shyamalan compares this to The Godfather and The Exorcist only shows what an ego this guy has.

if the early reviews from the states are to be even half believed, it's going to be so, so, so, so, so, SO bad. I mean, Lady in the Water level bad, but worse.
The maguffin of what's causing "the happening" is one of the all-time, copper bottomed,"fuck me, you can't be serious...oh god he is" discoveries iv'e ever heard of. So inherently awful is the concept, that it makes me weep tears of frustration at the disintegrating career of the once talented Shyamalen.

My theory is that the 'event' is the spread of a virus that causes people to commit suicide. Hence the poeple falling off the buildings, the jeep crashing into a tree and the cop suddenly dying (possibly after using his gun on himself). More
