HMMmmmm Interesting...
I'm curious about it. I would like to know whats "Happening" but there could be nothing happening if he is trying to compare himself to The Exorcist. Signs creeped me out at times, so this could also have moments of actual horror. either that or its gonna be terrible. The Village was really hyped up and I didn't think it was as good as his previous films. More

I hate my life
I'm guessing this is going to be an 18. Crap. Iwanted to see this movie so much and now I'm going to have to either wait for the dvd or grow a foot in the next couple of weeks. Why is everything I want taken away from me? You know what, I'm going to kill myself with a knitting needle, or jump off a building into a skip. More

RE: What is happening?
L: eruptus It doesn't matter whether the reviewer liked it or not. It's the part where he describes the plot that makes me think that this film sucks. The idea of killer plants, 'menacing trees' and people running away from wind is just ludicrous. No matter who made it, the idea is stupid. The fact that Shyamalan compares this to The Godfather and The Exorcist only shows what an ego this guy has. sp; But he makes very, very good and creepy trailers. RE: i really want this to be good, but...
L: magnusbarfod if the early reviews from the states are to be even half believed, it's going to be so, so, so, so, so, SO bad. I mean, Lady in the Water level bad, but worse. The maguffin of what's causing "the happening" is one of the all-time, copper bottomed,"fuck me, you can't be serious...oh god he is" discoveries iv'e ever heard of. So inherently awful is the concept, that it makes me weep tears of frustration at the disintegrating career of the once talented Shyamalen. i More

spoilers here - youve been warned!!!
the happening is caused by plant life who are sick of mankind and develop a neuro toxin that makes people kill themselves. Hence the trailer has the line ''where have all the bee's gone?'' Shyamalan is one trick pony like Tarantino only Shyamalan's films have got worse and worse. This has turkey all written over it - what was Marky Mark thing! More

What is happening?
My theory is that the 'event' is the spread of a virus that causes people to commit suicide. Hence the poeple falling off the buildings, the jeep crashing into a tree and the cop suddenly dying (possibly after using his gun on himself). More

Yikes
Have to say the new 'Red band' trailer made me feel a tad sick. Especially the chap being torn to bits by a rather large cat. Not to mention the fella throwing himself in front of a harvester. I think I'll pass on lunch. Walberg still sounds to winey though. More
