Samuel L. Jackson Is The Octopus First look at The Spirit’s bad guy Source: Comic-Con Magazine
Considering that’s he supposed to be a shadowy master of disguise, it’s rather odd that The Spirit’s arch nemesis, The Octopus, should be making such an early appearance – but, hey who are we to argue when said big bad is none other than Samuel L Jackson.
Comic-Con Magazine has grabbed the first image of the main villain from Frank Miller’s upcoming comic-book adaptation and, even if we say so ourselves, it’s all looking rather spiffy.
The geek rag (and we mean that in the most respectful possible way) also talks to Miller about turning Will Eisner’s classic hero into a big-screen icon and adapting Sin City’s unique visuals for his own directorial ends. It looks like he's genetic freak between a guy and an octopus. Which for The Spirit a noir this would be taking the wee. But looking at it closly brings you realise he wearing a coat a striking a 'how am i going kill this Spirit?' pose. Should be a nicer version of the down and dirty Sin City.
