Meet The Spartans Guys Start New Pic
Carmen Electra to star in their latest

28 April 2008  |  Written by Tom Ambrose  |  Source: Variety

August 29. It is the date which James Cameron famously picked as Judgement Day in the Terminator movies. The day on which the world as we know it shall end. Of course, Cameron’s apocalypse occurred in 1997. But, as it turns out, he may have only been eleven years out.

For August 29, 2008 is the day on which the new film from the guys who directed Meet The Spartans, Date Movie and Epic Movie will be released in the States. And if the world doesn’t end on this day of ultimate horror, we’ll be frankly amazed.

Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer – for it is they – will this week start filming (in Shreveport, Louisiana) on their latest effort, an as-yet untitled picture about which little is known, but about which much can be presumed. For example, we have strong reason to believe – based on their previous movies – that this will be a spoof (the presence of Carmen Electra and Kim Kardashian in what we have to refer to as the ‘cast’ indicates this), and that it will be witless, crude, and utterly bereft of anything resembling humour.

It will, of course, make craploads of cash. Unless SkyNet can intervene before it’s too late.

RE: That's quick...
L: britesparc I can't believe they start filming today and it comes out in August... bloody hell, no wonder all their films are shite if they rush them that quickly. Quality control, anyone...? sp; I really doubt the fact that they're rush jobs is the reason they all suck. I think the reason for the speed is "Okay, enough films have come out in the last six months to reference in 90 minutes of screentime. Let's get shootin' "   So, we can expect to see a denim-clad assassin ki More
